How we Work
As we said, we can work with you however works best.
However, to be able to advise or represent you properly, particularly where there is a dispute involved, often we will need to get a thorough understanding of the background from you. Unless its your birthday, surprises aren’t good.
Once we have a solid understanding of the background and what you want to achieve, we can make an assessment of what we believe we would need to do to help you and what steps might be involved along the way. We will outline that for you.
As part of that process we will determine what our fees will be and what the cost might be. Some commercial work can be done for a fixed cost. Other work, including court work, will usually be charged based on time spent. We will assess and structure the fee according to your particular circumstances.
Except in some circumstances, we are required to, and will, provide to you a document setting out our assessment of the costs. Further, and again except in some circumstance, we will ask you to enter into an agreement with us confirming our instructions and our respective rights and liabilities in us acting for you in your matter.
